The Red Strip
I believe and agree with one of the definitions of art, i.e, “Art produced or intended primarily for beauty rather than utility”.
And I regard Seeing as a pure activity, so, personally, I never restrain myself about “what to capture and what not to” in my photography. In a day to day life, we see many things that attracts our attention, one need to be enough sensitive to respond to them and enjoy its own beauty of existence.
This is image is one of the same kind. I saw this red strip (a red cotton saree kept hanging for drying) in the early hours of a day, as I was walking in one of the streets of Vrindavan. I do not know what exactly attracted me towards it, weather it is the color, play of light, atmosphere, etc…….whatever, I like this image, and I appreciate the beauty of any image in its individuality than a connected story.
