Image Making Requires Visual Grammar

Everything that is spoken can not be a piece of poetry, every other sound can not become a piece of music. The same way, every other image can not be a good photograph or a good image. In the same way a poet uses the grammar to make a beautiful poetry, or a musician organizes the musical notes rhythmically, I feel that a visual artist also has to follow the visual grammar, to create an aesthetic image. The visual elements of an image has to be organised in such a way that it makes the unified visionary effect on the viewer.

The way one senses the pleasure of a good music, in the same way, while seeing, one also feels the pleasure of a good image, which is balanced and organised harmoniously and rhythmically.

There are infinite ways to organize the visual elements to create harmony and balance in an image. The image maker(a visual artist) has to follow his/her instincts and intuition to realize the rhythm and harmony of an image.
Unlike any other arts, perhaps visual art is more complex and has many things to consider, like shape, form, color, value, direction, movement, space, perspective etc…etc…

So the artist needs to be much more care full about the coherent organisation of all these elements in to an aesthetic image.
